Within the Clustering Support Program of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, application is made on July 10, 2015 to the Nuclear Industry Clustering Project, in which our Chamber is included as a coordinator enterprise, in order to make the local companies provide supply to nuclear power plants to be established in our country. After passing the pre-assessment, which is the first step of the project acceptance process, with a high score, and before the final assessment and jury presentation, a business plan assessment meeting has been conducted on November 3, 2015 at TUBITAK Marmara Research Center with the participation of the representatives of compaines in the project, the authorities of Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the University representatives. At the meeting, cooperation offers of the companies in the roject have been received, sector groups have been determined, and it has been decided to carry out research studies in regard to the competences that may be gained by these groups at the nuclear market.
On February 23, 2016, upon the presentation made to the Selection Committee, which was established by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, our project was found acceptable to be supported within the scope of Clustering Support Program.
The NÜKSAK Project, which is owned by the cluster comprising of Ankara, Istanbul, Kocaeli and Adana Chambers of Industry, Istanbul Technical University, Gedik University and close to forty companies that wish to be a part of nuclear sector, has formally come into action with the Signature Ceremony of Clustering Support Program, which was hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and was carried out with the participation of our honorable Minister Dr. Faruk ÖZLÜ on May 2, 2017. The work packages within the project shall be carried out under the coordination of the commercial enterprise, which was established by our Chamber (Ankara Chamber of Industry Nuclear Industry Clustering Nüksak Commercial Enterprise) and Istanbul, Kocaeli and Adana Chambers of Industry, and the content of activities shall mainly involve complex analyses, nuclear quality management and certification systems, consultancies, research technology trainings specific to nuclear sector, R&D studies for stainless steel and infrastruture activities for technical support organization.
Total cost of the activities, which will be carried out for 5 years, shall be approximately 32 million TL.
